I started "OUT BY 4" in October 2008, as a coordinator and crossposter to help get dogs and cats rescued from an animal control gassing facility in Dallas North Carolina. The reason I call it "Out By 4", is because that is the time of day an animal needs to have a rescue group or adopter come and save them as they start gassing them at 4PM each day. They gas an average of 200 animals a week at just this one animal control facility. There is also a push to stop gassing and heartstick in all states that still use such violent methods to euthanize animals. There is much to be done to help these animals.
